Exporting Leads
Export your lead data to CSV for reporting, backup, or use in other systems.
VerdictFlow allows you to export lead data to CSV format for use in spreadsheets, reports, or other systems.
Basic Export
Export All Leads
- Navigate to Leads
- Click the Export button (download icon)
- Select Export All
- CSV file downloads automatically
Export Filtered Leads
- Apply filters to show the leads you want
- Click Export
- Select Export Filtered Results
- Only visible leads are exported
Export Selected Leads
- Check the boxes next to specific leads
- Click Export
- Select Export Selected
- Only checked leads are exported
Choosing Columns
Control which fields appear in your export:
Default Columns
If you don't customize, exports include:
- First Name, Last Name
- Email, Phone
- Status
- Case Type
- Lead Source
- Created Date
Custom Column Selection
- Before exporting, click Columns in table view
- Check the columns you want in your export
- Export will include only selected columns
This includes:
- Standard lead fields
- Custom VF Fields
- System fields (created date, updated date)
Export Format
File Format
- Type: CSV (Comma Separated Values)
- Encoding: UTF-8 (supports international characters)
- Filename:

Special Characters
The export properly handles:
- Commas within fields (enclosed in quotes)
- Quotation marks (escaped)
- Line breaks (preserved)
- Non-ASCII characters (UTF-8)
Opening Exports
Microsoft Excel
- Double-click the downloaded CSV file
- Excel opens it automatically
- Or: Open Excel → Data → From Text/CSV
Google Sheets
- Open Google Sheets
- File → Import
- Select the CSV file
- Choose import settings and click Import
Apple Numbers
- Double-click the CSV file
- Numbers opens it automatically

Scheduled Exports
Privacy Considerations
When exporting lead data:
- Exports contain personal information (PII)
- Store exported files securely
- Delete files when no longer needed
- Consider what you share with third parties
- Comply with applicable privacy regulations
Limitations
- Maximum 10,000 leads per export
- For larger exports, use filters to create multiple exports
- Exports are snapshots; they don't update automatically
Troubleshooting
Export Won't Download
- Check browser popup blocker settings
- Allow downloads from VerdictFlow
- Try a different browser
Garbled Characters
- Ensure you're opening as UTF-8
- In Excel: Use Data → From Text/CSV import
- Specify UTF-8 encoding
Missing Columns
- Check your column selection before export
- Ensure desired columns are checked
- Re-export with correct columns selected
