Intake Packages
Bundle every form submission, document, email, call, and SMS for a lead into a single review-ready package — and route it to a teammate or a partner with one click.
An intake package is everything you've collected on a lead, assembled into a single review-ready bundle: the form they filled out, any documents they uploaded, the emails and texts you've exchanged, every recorded call, and the team's notes. Instead of digging through tabs to brief a colleague or hand a case off to a partner, you generate a package once and share it.
This is one of the features customers tell us they love most — it turns "let me put together what we have on this lead" from a 20-minute task into a 30-second one.
What goes into a package
When you generate a package, VerdictFlow pulls in everything attached to the lead and lets you pick what to include:
- Form submissions — every public or internal intake form they've completed, with all field answers preserved.
- Documents — anything uploaded to the lead (records, photos, IDs, prior correspondence).
- Email communications — incoming and outgoing emails logged via Gmail / Outlook integrations or manual entry.
- Phone calls — call activity from RingCentral / CallRail / Aloware, including durations and notes.
- SMS — text conversations with the lead.
- Internal notes — your team's running commentary on the lead.
Toggle anything off you don't want to share — the package always shows the recipient exactly what you selected, nothing more.
Two ways to use a package
1. Internal review handoff
Ask a teammate to look at a lead and decide what to do next:
- Open the lead detail page → Packages tab → Generate package.
- Walk through the wizard, picking what to include.
- Pick a team member as the recipient.
- Send.
They get an email + in-app notification with a link to the package. They open it, scroll through the bundled content in one view, and either send it back to you with a recommendation or take action themselves (qualify the lead, assign it, kick off a referral).
This is great for:
- Junior intake → senior review — the new coordinator builds the package, the partner makes the call.
- Cross-practice consults — package up a lead and send it to the attorney who handles that case type.
- Daily standups — package today's qualifying leads to the partner-in-charge for triage.
2. Partner referral handoff
Coming up: external packages let you send the same review-ready bundle to a partner firm when you refer the case out, so they have everything they need to evaluate it without a half-dozen follow-up emails. Today, outbound referrals include the lead snapshot, fee terms, and notes; intake packages add the option to attach the full intake history when that extra context will close the partner faster.
How the wizard works
The Generate Package wizard is four steps and takes under a minute:
- Submissions — pick which form responses to include (defaults to all).
- Documents — pick which uploaded files to include.
- Communications — pick which emails, calls, and SMS to include.
- Review & Send — choose a recipient and review what they'll see before sending.
At each step you can select all / deselect all if you want everything or want to start from a clean slate. The Review step shows a count of what's in the package so there are no surprises on the receiving end.
What the recipient sees
When the recipient opens the package, they get a single screen that lays out:
- The lead's contact and case info at the top.
- Each piece of included content in a section per type — submissions, documents, communications, calls, SMS, notes.
- A clear Review status they can update as they work through it (e.g. In Review, Approved, Returned for more info).
- Action buttons to accept, request more info, or — for partner-bound packages — kick off the referral right from the package view.
Every status change on the package is logged on the lead's timeline, so the original sender always knows where it stands.
Tracking packages on a lead
Open any lead detail page and switch to the Packages tab. You'll see:
- Every package generated for this lead — who built it, who received it, when, and the current review status.
- A Generate package button to start a new one.
This is your audit trail when a partner asks "did anyone ever look at this lead?" — the answer is right there with timestamps and reviewers.
Why teams love it
- No more "can you forward me everything we have on Sarah?" — one click and the colleague has it all.
- Consistent handoffs — every package looks the same regardless of who built it, so reviewers know exactly where to look.
- Selective sharing — choose what's appropriate for the recipient instead of dumping the whole record.
- Fully audited — every package, every recipient, every status change is logged.
Permissions
Generating packages requires the Read leads permission. Sending a package to an external recipient or attaching it to a referral additionally requires Manage referrals.
Next steps
- Lead Statuses — pair packages with status changes (e.g. send a review package every time a lead hits In Review).
- Sending Referrals — the broader outbound flow that intake packages can plug into.
- Automations — auto-generate a package when a lead reaches a particular status.
